Pricing Structure and Legal Consultancy

Green Legal Aid offers comprehensive legal consultancy services aimed at providing guidance and clarification on legal matters. Our consultancy services include legal factual analysis, document perusal, and progress reporting, delivered through email, telephone calls, face-to-face meetings, or teleconferences by any member of our esteemed team. Please note that consultancy does not extend to providing legal opinions or drafting legal documents.

Consultancy fees are calculated based on a unit system, with one unit lasting for 20 minutes. The fees vary based on the seniority of the legal professional involved and the mode of consultation. For esteemed corporate/MNC clients, we offer one initial consultancy session at no charge.

After the consultancy session, clients are presented with pricing options based on their requirements. We offer various pricing structures, including hourly fees, capped fees, flat/fixed/bundled/package fees, and pay-as-you-go options, each tailored to suit different needs and preferences.

Our tier-based fee structure comprises Tier One (Priority), Tier Two (Standard), and Tier Three (Economy), ensuring that clients receive services aligned with the nature, urgency, and complexity of their legal matters.

Legal Consultancy

  • Consultancy means advisory services in the nature of providing guidance, which includes legal factual clarification and analysis, progress report, perusal of documents etc., all to be provided via email, telephone call, face to face meeting (if needed) or by teleconference by any member of RC. Consultancy mostly helps narrow down the legal issues involved and helps clients to determine the next course of action.
  • Consultancy does not include legal opinion which provides the understanding of the law as applied to assumed facts and similar legal services like drafting/vetting of agreements, drafting legal notice or pleadings etc.
  • Consultancy fee is calculated based on each unit. One unit lasts for 20 minutes. Total consultancy may continue for more than one unit. Based on seniority, face to face/teleconference consultancy fee are as follows:
    • Head of Chambers: Tk. 3500/USD$40( for maximum  20 minutes)
    • Divisional Heads: Tk. 3000/USD$35( for maximum  20 minutes)
    • Department Head/ Deputy Head of Dept.: Tk. 2500/USD$30 ( for maximum  20 minutes)
    • Senior Associate: Tk. 2000/USD$25 ( for maximum  20 minutes)
    • Associate: Tk. 1500/USD$20 ( for maximum  20 minutes)
    • Combined: Tk. 2250/USD$28 ( for maximum  20 minutes) [For email consultancy only]
  • For reputed corporate/MNC clients, we provide one initial consultancy at no charge.
  • At the end of the consultancy, clients normally request us to provide price quotation as per below pricing options.
  • Legal consultancies may still be required even after client choose to instruct us to provide services under one or more pricing options as below. Only in case of flat fee/ fixed fee/package (bundled) fee as below we offer include the legal consultancy fee in our bundled offer.
  • The information exchanged in the consultancy meeting should not be construed as legal advice on any matter and Rahman’s Chambers and/or its lawyers shall not be responsible in any manner for any conclusive decision, other than navigational, taken based on such exchange.

Pricing Options 

Clients may not need any consultancy at initial stages if they are sure about services they need. In that case, Clients are advised directly to fill in “request a quote” form as are available in the related practice area and/or contact us by email or phone.

  • Hourly Fee (team hourly fee) refers to flat hourly rate of a team of lawyers comprising senior, mid-level and junior lawyers. We make sure they deliver their best effort and maintain their standard and quality of work while working as a team.
  • Hourly Fee (individual hourly fee) refers to individual hourly rates of individual lawyers with different years of experience and expertise.  Client may choose to work with a individual lawyer in a particular complex assignment or project rather than with a team. Normally for a single assignment of short duration, this is possible. For multiple transactions or complex cases demanding a team work this option cannot be offered.
  • Capped fee on Hourly rates means, at any time, the professional fees, in an aggregate amount not to exceed a certain specified amount for a particular transaction/case. Although client will be billed on hourly basis until it reaches the ceiling. If hourly involvement is more that the ceiling as predicted in capped fee , the clients only pay for the capped fee agreed.
  • Flat/Fixed/Bundled/Package Fee means an amount that is charged does not change according to the amount of work done/hours involved. In predictable cases,  it may be possible that the total aggregate amount covers fees, expenses and associated tax involved. This option is always not open as in complex and uncertain cases it is not possible offer this pricing structure.
  • Pay as you go: You pay just for specific tasks to be done. This is known an unbundled service. We don’t do everything for you, just the bits that you cannot do for yourself, or where you need our help. We have fee schedule on flat fee basis for many serviceable items for example drafting a simple agreement, each time appearance in court for hearing by a senior counsel etc. This arrangement is not suitable for projects/complex transactions.

Once you receive our invoice you have different option of making payment as follows:

Cheque/Cash

Subject to the applicable VAT and Source Tax, we accept payment by Cheque/Cash at our all branches.  If needed one of our staff from a nearby branch will also pay visit to you.

Wire Transfer/Bank Deposit 

You may transfer money from anywhere in our Bank Account by Wire Transfer. If you are selecting to pay by Bank deposit (available within Bangladesh) or wire transfer ( from anywhere) in the below account, please send us the payment receipt by email for our record. Net Banking 
E-Wallet

Debit/Credit card

You may also settle your payment from by your debit/credit card  namely  VISA/Master/AMEX from anywhere issued by any bank. We normally send you a payment link generated by a secured payment gateway SSLCOMMERZ for the invoiced amount along with our invoice by email. This will save your time and hassle of providing all the detail of our account. Just click the link we provide you. it is easy to make payment by secured link.

For payment by international credit/debit Card [Visa/Master/AMEX] after successful transaction notification the card holder has to send an email to us along with identity verification document such as here documents means -National Identification Card/Driving Licenses/Passport copy. Failure to provide such documents may lead holding it for 120 days and delay in transferring the payment to us.

You may also use the above PAY NOW option. This will open a link generated by a secured payment gateway SSLCOMMERZ which allow you to make payment by credit/debit card as mentioned above. The only difference is that you need to manually insert the amount. If you are using PAY NOW option please do as follows:

  • Please convert the payable amount to equivalent BDT amount using Currency Converter.
  • Please insert the amount in Taka in the required box.
  • Please provide your information e.g. name, email,  phone (international number)
  • Provide our invoice reference. If you don’t have it, please email us at info@greenlegalaid.com
  • Please send us email attaching National Identification Card/Driving Licenses/Passport copy/Card scan (visible only first 6 digit & last 4 digit)/card Statement copy. Failure to provide such documents may lead holding it for 120 days and delay in transferring the payment to us.

Payment by Installment/Advance Payment

If you would like to make payment by installments after receiving our invoice or you would like to pay in advance before receiving our invoice, please first let us know. You may use the above PAY NOW link generated by a secured payment gateway SSLCOMMERZ which allow you to make payment by mobile banking/net banking/card as mentioned above. The only difference is that you can choose the amount you would like to pay now.
